Guide for choosing the right pump type

Please tell us your application use case, we will help you to select the right pump type.

1. How much water (in liters) do you need minimum and maximum every day?

2. How much sunshine is available at this place?

3. Does the water source contain sediments? If yes, please pay attention to prevent e.g. sand from affecting the pump´s functionality.

4. How does the planned installation location look like? Fig. 1 or Fig. 2? Is the pumping height like B1+B2+B3?

Meaning of pumping height

You can use big solar panels to get more water during bad weather or at places with shade. However, if the sunshine gets stronger, the pump will be overloading since the piston frequency is proportional to the intensity of the sun. If the energy of the sun is too strong, the piston motion becomes very fast until it trembles only in one position, thus the output of water is zero. Furthermore, the pump circuit could enter a self-protection mode, which leads to the pump stopping to work entirely. When clouds appear again or latest after a night rest, the pump will start working again.

The solution in this case is to direct the solar panels at the zenith, deviating from the orbit of the sun or e.g. using a mesh material to cover the solar panels, thus reducing incoming solar energy.
